"Therapy is a journey of healing and achieving emotional well-being. Together we can build resilience through understanding."
My Approach
Healing Starts with Feeling Safe
I utilize a collaborative approach to encourage clients to explore their past and present life experiences and begin to understand how dysfunctional core beliefs have impacted their lives.
Cognitive Behavioral techniques as well as EMDR assist us in exploring the past and identifying the overdeveloped, habitual, and maladaptive patterns that hold us back. The therapeutic relationship provides the safety needed to make healthy changes and lead a fulfilling life.
I offer individuals the opportunity to self-explore and identify the barriers that impede their growth. Barriers arise due to past experiences that impact the present. Collaboration, support, and healthy relationships are key components of my approach.
Collaborative
We work together. You set the pace, and I provide the tools and framework for change.
Trauma-Informed
Safety comes first. Every intervention is grounded in understanding how trauma shapes the brain and body.
Evidence-Based
CBT, EMDR, and DeTUR techniques backed by research — not guesswork.
Empowerment-Focused
The goal isn't just coping — it's building the capacity for a fulfilling life.
Featured Therapy
Healing Starts with Feeling Safe
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain process traumatic memories that are “stuck.” Instead of years of talk therapy alone, EMDR works directly with how your brain stores distressing experiences.
I also use DeTUR (Desensitization of Triggers and Urge Reprocessing) — an EMDR-based protocol specifically designed to reduce addictive urges and compulsive behaviors.
Effective for PTSD, stress-related trauma, and complex trauma

Common Questions
What to Expect
What happens in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you — your history, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re comfortable with. We’ll discuss your goals and whether my approach feels like a good fit.
Is EMDR right for me?
EMDR is effective for a wide range of issues including PTSD, trauma, anxiety, phobias, and addiction. During our initial sessions, we’ll assess whether EMDR is the best approach for your situation, or whether another evidence-based method would be more beneficial.
Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
Yes. I offer telehealth sessions for clients in New Jersey, Texas, and South Carolina. Virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and are just as effective as in-person sessions for most concerns.
I'm a first responder — do you understand what I'm going through?
I work closely with first responders and law enforcement and understand the unique pressures, exposure to trauma, and cultural barriers to seeking help. I provide a safe environment that promotes healing for the people who serve our communities.
How long does therapy typically take?
It depends on what you’re working through. Some clients see meaningful progress in 8-12 sessions, while others benefit from longer-term work. We’ll set goals together and check in regularly so you always know where you stand.
